Risks, Misconceptions & Fake Practitioners

The spiritual marketplace is unregulated, and the barriers to entry for "teachers" are non-existent. This has led to a proliferation of dangerous advice and unqualified guidance.

Red Flags in Teachers

Be extremely wary of any practitioner who exhibits the following behaviors:

Social Media Misinformation

TikTok and Instagram are flooded with "spiritual" content that is designed for virality, not accuracy. The "aesthetic" of spirituality—crystals, white robes, serene poses—often masks a complete lack of substance.

Remember: A large following is not a credential. Many popular influencers are repackaging concepts they do not understand, often stripping out the safety protocols inherent in the original traditions.

Trauma & Energy Work

If you have a history of complex trauma (CPTSD), energy work can be re-traumatizing if not approached with extreme caution. The body often holds trauma as tension; "blowing open" these blocks without therapeutic support can lead to flooding and overwhelm.

The "Certification" Myth

There is no governing body for chakras or kundalini. Certificates can be printed by anyone. A piece of paper does not guarantee safety, ethics, or lineage authority. Trust your discernment over a title.

Safety Exit

If this material increases anxiety, dissociation, insomnia, or emotional instability, pause immediately and seek licensed medical or mental health support.
